Purchase a New Seaward Sea Kayak from Batstar

Batstar uses Seaward Kayaks. Made right here on Vancouver Island, Seaward has set the guiding industry standard with the Passat G3 double. Fast yet stable, the G3 has lots of storage capacity and is easy to get gear in and out of. We use a variety of Seaward singles. Some, like the Tyee is best for novices/intermediate, the Ascente for intermediate kayakers and the Quest for guides and experienced kayakers. We use all three in our fleet.

We do not carry a new inventory of Seaward Kayaks but specialize in custom orders primarily for our sea kayak tour guests and people who take our classes and lessons. When you consider that our guests get to try different sea kayaks while on our tours, they develop a better feeling for the sea kayak that best meets their needs.

Sometimes Seaward has some stock on hand but most times they take our order and place it in the production schedule. It may take 2 months or more in prime production season to get your sea kayak built so book early. The thermoform plastic sea kayaks are typically easier to get quicker.

The advantage of a custom ordering is that you get to choose the hull and deck colours plus any options like custom paint jobs and hatch locks. You can order custom fibreglass or kevlar layups.

Book a multi-day trip to the Broken Group Islands, Clayoquot Sound or the Deer Group and save $400 if you also purchase a new single or double Seaward sea kayak. If you just want your kayak this year, we'll give you a gift certificate for $400 to be used on one of the above trips.
