Sea kayaking in this remote area on the northwest side of Vancouver Island really helps you forget about what is going on in the rest of the world. This is an area where it is common to find a sea otter resting on its back in the kelp bed eating a sea urchin. While there is protection from outer islands, we often paddle in the open Pacific Ocean as we explore this historic area.
